Workflow Session • Requirements over Scenarios: • End-to-end scenarios should include • Data requirements: • archived data • to be acquired • systematic • tasked • From satellite (Optical, Radar, Meteorological,…) • In-situ • Geospatial and other (demographic, protected areas, etc…) • User Requirements on • data access (which data sources, update frequency, quality,…) • results and information exploitation (output formats, presentation requirements,…) • Interaction Diagrams indicating actors, endpoints, operations to be supported by the Workflow

Workflow Session • Issues: • how to avoid data source duplication when global, regional or local authorities may be harvesting the same source. • Latency: how to ensure that end-to-end scenarios can cope with delays, … • Compensation for faults and unexpected events i.e. alternative flows • Persistence: i.e. storage of processed data and association of relevant metadata (e.g. by using WFS)

Workflow Session: Tools • Please list and detail proposed/available tools e.g.: • From FEDEO in 2007 Persistent Testbed available at http://services.eoportal.org including • workflow engine • clients for: • ISO and EO Ebrim extension package catalogues, • CSW ISO Profile • Sensor Planning Service EO Profile • Sensor Observation Service • EO order profile • WMS and simple feature WCS, WFS • Open Source “Skeleton” sw to simulate and build servers • Dedicated forum to be set up for planned activities
