Learning Outcomes Pupils will: • know why it is important to do 60 minutes physical activity every day • understand the difference between light, moderate and intense physical activity • plan their weekly physical activity diary • engage in a ‘Just Dance’ physical activity • make a class pledge to become ‘Fit Factor Champions’ 2

  6. A Fit Factor Champion… Keeps a physical activity diary Knows why physical activity is good for us Understands the 3 different types of physical activity Encourages others to do lots of physical activity Has FUN! 6

  15. We are going to look at the 3 different types of physical activity that you can do to become a Fit Factor Champion! 15

  16. There are 3 different types of physical activity! Light physical activity Moderate physical activity Intense physical activity 16

  17. Light physical activity • You are moving but not very fast. Your heart beats a little bit quicker than normal and you do not sweat. • You are able to sing whilst doing light physical activity! 17

  18. Moderate physical activity • Your heart beats faster and you sweat a little. • You will be able to talk but not be able to sing whilst doing moderate physical activity! 18

  19. Intense physical activity • You are breathing hard and fast. • Your heart will be beating really quickly and you are sweating. • You will not be able to say more than 3 words at a time without stopping for a breath. You will not be able to sing whilst doing intense physical activity! 19

  20. Intense physical activity is the best type of physical activity but all types are good! 20

  21. Activity Time You are now going to look at different activities and decide if they are light, moderate or intense! Remember… = Light = Moderate = Intense 21
