  1. Third Grade Newsletter October Welcome to Third Grade! We are already almost done with the first quarter. Everyone has been doing great! We have settled in nicely and are fully into the curriculum and daily routines. They know the expectations and are going above and beyond what is expected from us! Fantastic work! At the end of the month there will be parent teacher conferences both before and after school. Feel free to ask any questions, concerns, or comments. We will be discussing the report card that 3rd graders receive and how they are performing this year. We will get back to you as soon as we can. 3rd Grade Studies for October Math: We are currently covering place value; standard, expanded and word form of numbers, as well as rounding and addition and subtraction with regrouping. Language Arts: We have created an environment rich in literacy and students are building reading and writing stamina. Social Studies: We will be covering concepts relating to citizenship, our government and the purpose of rules and laws. Science: Science is a big hit! We have covered the Scientific Process and Matter. Soon will be the Water Cycle and Sun, Moon, and Earth cycles. Read every day!

Nos hemos acomodado y estamos siguiendo el currículo y las rutinas diarias. ¡Los niños saben que esperamos de ellos y están yendo mucho más lejos de eso! ¡Fantástico! Estudiospara el grado 3ro en Octubre Ciencias Sociales: Estamos cubriendo temas sobre el gobierno, conceptos de ciudadanía, reglas y leyes. Ciencias: ¡Ciencias es lo mejor! Hemos estudiado el proceso científico, Materia, El ciclo del agua, y los ciclos del sol, el agua , la luna y la tierra.. Matemáticas: Estamos cubriendo gráficas y recolección de datos; lugar de posición; forma estándar, expandida y escritura de números, así como redondeo y adición y substracción reagrupando. Lenguaje: Hemos creado un ambiente rico en lectoescritura y continuaremos así. ¡Lee todos los días!
