Provide opportunities for students to develop as global citizens. Exchange people and ideas to ensure understanding of the global education community.

Bring together practitioners and the world’s leading academics to develop innovative thinking and practice.     12. iNet China Established in 2006 10 Cities and Provinces 8 Municipal and Provincial Governments (MOU’s) 4 education organisations and Universities Engaged with over 400 Chinese schools

Activities Conferences and events e.g. iNet Annual 2007, CEAIE, Tianjin and BNU/IOE Chinese school showcases at iNet events (Nanchang Middle School, Shenyang City, Beijing No 11 High School) iNet educational study tours outside of China – 244 participants in 2008. Since 2004, 648 teachers on the UK Government’s funded scheme Participate and host iNet schools coming to China School based partnership projects – e.g. Olympics Project (298 participants over 2 years) and Primary on line project Research projects

    25. Things to think about It is a long term relationship- it doesn’t work if you try to do it quickly Learn some phrases and have Mandarin versions of your business card Learn Chinese etiquette Work with a translator
