3. Introduction to Shihmen Reservoir Shihmen Reservoir is located in the Shihmen Canyon between Daxi, Longtan and Fuxing Districts in Taoyuan City and Guanxi Town in Hsinchu County. It used to be the largest reservoir in the Far East and was formed by intercepting the water from the Dahan Stream. Shihmen Reservoir was completed in 1964 and is the first multifunctional reservoir in Taiwan. 2,000 people were displaced due to the reservoir's construction. The government relocated them on Ginger Island at Shihmen Reservoir. The reservoir has also become a popular tourist destination due to the beautiful scenery surrounding it. Shihmen Reservoir has two lake tour piers, one is the dam pier and the other is the Amping pier. Now the introduction is the lake tour starting from Amping Pier. The lake tour introduced here starts from Amping Pier. 石門水庫簡介 石門水庫位於桃園市大溪、龍潭和復興區與新竹縣關西鎮之間的石門峽谷。它曾經是遠東最大水庫，攔截大漢溪溪水蓄水而成。 石門水庫於 1964 年竣工，是台灣第一座多功能水庫。由於水庫的建設，有 2,000 人流離失所。政府將他們安置在石門水庫的薑母島。 由於周圍美麗的風景，水庫也已成為一個受歡迎的旅遊勝地。 石門水庫有兩處遊湖碼頭，一處是大壩碼頭，另一處是阿姆坪碼頭。這裡介紹的是從阿姆坪碼頭遊湖。
