  3. Dear Reader Life is a staircase each step is harder than the next therefore the only thing you can do about it and that is try until you succeed and that is a challenge but remember this, you cant get to the top of the staircase in one step so you have to get there little by little to get to the top, that’s just what it takes to succeed. Everyone in writing who wants to take short cuts you can try to but when that one thing, that one little detail comes out and bites you in the butt then you will regret the time you took that shortcut and will you would've just taken the little details to get to the top of the staircase and not screwed up because writer aren't born they’re made and you never know what you have until you give it your full potential and if that’s what you need to do to get to the top of the stairs then so be it you need to succeed. Here is what you need to do to make yourself an improved writer, the first and main thing to being a writer is don’t take shortcuts no matter what you do. If you just sit there and your board do the work! Don’t write a 3 sentence long story on why you like macaroni, no. You need to give it taste, have the story make sense. If you have done that then show one of your friends. The second step to writing is Tittle. I cant express enough on how important this is, if your writing about nature, don’t make the tittle Why I like Nature, make it pop out to your reader don’t give the whole story away in just the tittle, make it pop like, My life as Father Nature. It doesn’t give away the story and if I was reading that tittle for the first time that would make me curious, and wanting to know what the story is all about. The next rule of writing is know how to write and what I mean by that is don’t say- I went outside and I saw a bird and I played with my friend and stuff, NO! Here is a show don’t tell- I went outside it was as hot as the center of the sun, sweat dripped down my face and chest, I watched as a bird flew into its nest feeding its young. After that me and my friend participated in fun activities, as if we were 6 playing tag.-Do you see how I made it very detailed thus making the sentence into a paragraph. If you follow these steps and I left out some, but if you follow these steps you are a lot closer to the top of the staircase at being a better writer!

  4. Early morning sunshine • This summer what I did was play football for my 4th year I think this year was the year I worked the hardest. Football is the best sport I have played out of all of them including lacrosse, baseball, and basketball. The position I play in football now is running back I didn’t play running back until 4th grade but then the coaches put me back on the line as a right guard or a right tackle, on the defensive side I have played linebacker, right corner, nose guard, right tackle (on defense), and safety. I play a lot of positions, because I’m really good at football, everyone on my team is really good and I’m not going to say I’m the best because there is a saying, there’s not I in team. • Playing football for 7th grade was the best moment that happened to me (besides it being sun-dried hot outside) was when I was playing tackle, and the coach calls a play where I’m running back, and I’m really nervous my hands are tingling, my adrenaline is up through the roof I can hear myself think I tune everything out and pick which way I’m going and boom! I hear the hut and run to the outside and I’m dodging tackle, by tackle trying to get to the end zone and I’m almost there I can feel the crowd screaming the I see one of the players right on my tail Without excessively worrying I turn on the speed boost and I’m gone “65 yard touchdown by Darion Waite” and my team come and tackles me and everyone is so excited I will never forget that moment. • When I played pee-wee football it was the best time for playing it, if I could go back in time I would the coaches where nice, the referees where fair, but the best part out of all the football years was at the end of every practice (after we did insane conditioning) the coach would read us a quote, they would get to me faster than an arrow hits a target, they were from his book they’d get to all the players on the team, they could relate to it.

  5. Words Can Hurt • Words are weapons • Even though words don’t hurt everyone but they can hurt a lot of people, words can hurt anyone because hurtful words can be said face to face and words can be hurt by online bullying • The first reason words can hurt is because there are millions of people who are hurt by words because of cyber bullying, cyber bullying is a type of bullying that is found on the internet and is very hurtful and half of all people who are being bullied are bullied by more than 1 person on the internet, which is what cyber bullying basically is. • The second reason words can hurt is face to face, and what that is is the person that is bullying has been bullied by another person and picks on someone half their size, words can hurt this way because talking Can lead to yelling and yelling to lead to hand to hand combat which can tear a friendship, relationship, or even a family member can be affected to face to face wording. • The last reason words can hurt is gossip, and what gossip is, its spreading a rumor about someone else very secretive, and that can result in very embarrassing secret being revealed to the whole school and from being a happy lovable person to being very depressed or sad. Sometimes can result in suicide • Bullying is the most cause in suicide in teens and young adults people who are being verbally bullied, physically bullied any type of bullying has resulted in more suicide than anything, but not all words can hurt some words are wonderful and can leave a person from being really emotional to being really happy and you never know you could’ve saved that person’s life

  6. My Brother My Brother is a Loving kind of person. We hang out a lot together, we have fun, we get along. The reason my brother is loving, kind and warm hearted is because he cares about me, on a Thursday my brother, when I was supposed to go to school and he took me to great wolf lodge, we had a lot of fun, we swam in the pool, we went down a lot of cool rides. Normally my brother picks on me but it was nice getting one day were we could just have fun!

  7. Book Review • The book I am reading is called the lightning thief, it is by rick riordan • There are a lot of different settings but the most important one is mount Olympia’s where all the gods live • The genre is adventure because it goes all over the place. • The main character is Percy Jackson he is a trouble-maker and he has been kicked out of every school accept yancy academy I think the reason why is because he has a.d.d. and dyslexia • The theme of this is man vs. society, because it’s Percy vs. gods and creatures • If you love a good mystery book then you will love this one, I gave this book a 4 out of 5 because the beginning and the middle were pretty slow, so this is a long book but you have to get used to it, and it leaves you hanging by a thread, because you have to read the other books to find out what happens. • I think my classmates would like this book because it is really suspenseful and it’s like once you pick it up you can’t put it down. • In "The Lightning Thief" a young boy named Percy Jackson learns that he is a demigod and is sent away by his mother to a camp for kids like him. While he is there he is sent on a quest with Anna Beth, another demigod, and Grover, a (I forget what he is, fill it in). They battle mythical creatures on their quest to get to Hades and get away alive to end the feud between Poseidon and Zeus and save the world.
