Can you add any PSN vendor to Auto short buy? Yes, any PSN vendor can be added to short buy. To add a PSN vendor to short buy: In the Parameter Screen field, type L6N Add the vendor name exactly as the vendor set-up PSN Communication settings based on vendor name

What if they are a Direct Buy vendor? Option 1 Use unique item identifier to “match” on other than the vendor name as (ASB) limiter. Stock class, SIC code etc. Option 2 Copy your I-MFG records to the I-WHL field using +EB Direct Buy vendor name as limit Run after every item update for vendor

How do you change default settings before transmitting? Initial set-up, check the Override box for settings Change in the second screen of SR-B

How can you create a P/O for each custom item? Optional for custom products Put 1 item per P/O In the How to Sort P/O <1> field, type # In the Create NEW P/O When Sort ONE Changes,type Y

How do you change the shipping method on a P/O? If all (or majority) of the orders need to go drop ship to the end-user: Set that as the default in the PSN Communication parameter settings Set the NDS (National Drop Ship) flag on the individual order or on an end-user’s account level Set the drop ship options on the fly Change in the SR-B screen when manually transmitting the purchase order.

Must custom items originate on the Microsite? Yes, custom items must start at the microsite and be placed in the e-commerce cart. Items have a special code attached to identify the customization of the product Stock items on Microsite can also be transmitted via PSN

Does stock/price check require vendor specific records? Yes,vendor must have a record in the DDMS item file to be available for stock/price checks. Stock/Price check settings must be completed for vendor Functions are order-writer specific ; you control who has permissions

Do you have to run ASN manually? No. ASN does not have to be run manually. You can create a proc file to download and process files or do manually PSN is shut down nightly between 12:45-1:30, so set your proc time accordingly.

What tracking of changes do you have with ASN ? VER-EXCEPT and I-AUX files are updated with short ship exceptions The ASN fields are available through Report Writer and SQL A report automatically prints when file is processes to show what was updated

What if a vendor does not send back an acknowledgment? Some may require you to manually retrieve an acknowledgment using SR-B Wait time varies with vendor To prevent duplication in Auto Short-Buy Leave the Transfer Exceptions field BLANK If vendors can’t send PSN acknowledgment, find out if they can send in another form (i.e. email)
