  4. Specials Schedule • Monday-Gym 2:05-2:40 • Tuesday– Music 9:59-10:41 • Wednesday – Art 9:14-9:56 Chapel 9:59-10:41 • Thursday– Gym 2:05-2:40 • Friday- Library 9:14-9:56 Music 2:05-2:40 • *Students must wear sneakers on gym days.

Projects and Trips • There will be one book report per marking period- Must be reading-level appropriate • Field Trip to Casano’s, Underground Railroad Museum, Johnson Farm (Exact Date TBA) • Writing Workshop-Intro to Research Reports • Science- Friday Scientist/Hatching Chicks • Heritage Studies – Constitution Play (Date TBA)

  11. Homework • Homework is posted each and every morning or afternoon in class. Students are responsible for copying assignments into their planners. • Assignments and notices are put into students’ daily folders. Left pocket items to leave at home, Right pocket items need to be returned. Students have been instructed to make sure they have everything before they leave. • Homework is due the next day unless otherwise directed.

  12. Additional Information • Students should always have a chapter book at their desk for reading if they finish their work early. • Third Graders will take the OAA Reading Assessment in the early fall. • Study Island – a weekly assignment in Reading and Math. Required • Health – is incorporated in our Science Curriculum. Health projects will be graded as a test.

  13. Grading Scale (Determined by the Linden Board of Education) • A = 90 -100 • B = 80 - 89 • C = 70 - 81 • D = 70 - 74 • F = 0 – 69 Progress reports keep you informed of your child’s quarterly progress.

  16. Supplies Needed for the Classroom • Please replenish your child’s pencil supply as the year continues. • When sending money into school, place in an envelope with your child’s name, class (3H), amount enclosed, and what the money is for.
