  2. Interview Scheduling There are a number of way to access applications to record outcomes. The following is the most common method. Click on ‘Interview Scheduling’ to complete the interview scheduling process. NSW DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITIES WWW.DEC.NSW.GOV.AU 1

  3. Interview Scheduling In the step ‘Interview Scheduling’, the Hiring Manager/Hiring Manager Assistant moves the candidates from ‘Select Step Outcome’ to ‘Interview scheduled’ status. To complete this step, the number in brackets against ‘Select Step Outcome’ must be ‘0’. If not then a candidate(s) has not been reviewed and therefore this step has not been completed.   4. Interview Scheduling Select each candidate, one at a time, to provide their interview details. After the candidate has been selected, click on the green arrow to move them to the ‘Interview scheduled’ status. NSW DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITIES WWW.DEC.NSW.GOV.AU 3

  5. Interview Scheduling You will then be provided with a grey pop-up box to complete the candidate you have chosen. Check the ‘New Status’ is correct. There are instructions at each Step/Status that you can access using this hyperlink. If you wish to see the details of the candidate you are currently moving through the Candidate Selection Process use this link. Check the ‘Send correspondence’ box so that you can send email advice to the candidate of the interview details through the system. Refer module 6b on how to generate this correspondence. Select ‘Save and Close’ when you are finished. Enter the interview date and time. Select the type of interview to be conducted. NSW DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITIES WWW.DEC.NSW.GOV.AU 4

  6. Interview Scheduling You will then be returned to the ‘Interview Scheduling’ Step screen. One candidate has been moved. This process needs to be repeated for each candidate to be interviewed. Refer pages 3 and 4 for the process. NSW DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITIES WWW.DEC.NSW.GOV.AU 5

  7. Interview Scheduling You have completed the Review of ‘Interview Scheduling’ step when the number against the ‘Select Step Outcome’ status is ‘0’. Ensure all correspondence is sent before moving the candidates to ‘Interview outcome pre-referee check’. Refer to module 6b on how to generate this correspondence. 2. Once all candidates have been moved to ‘Interview scheduled’ status and correspondence is sent, you are ready to progress to the next step of the Merit Selection process. 3. Check all candidates have been moved to one of the three statuses available in this Step. If a candidate is not to be interviewed (for example School Recruitment has advised not eligible) then move to status ‘No interview scheduled – (Unsuccessful)’. Move candidates to ‘Candidate Withdrawn’ if a candidate advises the panel of his/her withdrawal from the selection process at this point.
