  1. Here’s What Dead Stars Might Look Like Today If They Were Still Alive, Based On Artificial Intelligence An artist has used AI-generated art to bring back celebrities from the dead, and the technology has been gaining a lot of attention recently. As part of his project using artificial intelligence technology, photographer and attorney Alper Yesiltas has envisioned what celebrities would look like if they were still alive.

  2. He painted portraits of Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, Janis Joplin, Tupac, and Freddie Mercury in his first collection. It features AI-generated images of an older Freddie Mercury, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Princess Diana, and Bruce Lee, among others. The Istanbul-based artist shared the first collection of the project, titled ‘As If Nothing Happened’, recently. Yesiltas wrote about the project, saying that he was excited about AI technology and that “anything imaginable can become a reality.”. After I began tinkering with technology, I began thinking about what would make me happiest. I wanted to see some of the people I missed again in front of me and that’s why this project was born. Creating an image that feels “real” to me is the hardest part of the creative process. When the image appears realistic, as if it was taken by a professional photographer, that is my favorite moment.

  3. In addition to using the AI photo boost software Remini and photo editing software such as Adobe Lightroom and VSCO, Yesiltas used Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom to create the images. The AI program Magenta was used by Google in 2021 to produce songs reminiscent of musicians who died at 27 like Cobain and Hendrix that were inspired by their genius.
