Caterpillar 773B Rock Truck Overturn Incident at Spoil Pile

A Caterpillar 773B rock truck has overturned, landing upside down at the base of a spoil pile with a 17-inch indentation where the rear of the truck bed made contact. The operator was inside the cab, which partially collapsed during the incident. Fortunately, he was conscious and alert, but his right arm was pinned underneath the steering wheel. The accident occurred in the dumping area, near an existing highwall that stands at 74 feet.
