Pros • Biodiesel does not increase carbon dioxide in the air, therefore it in not a harm to the environment. • Biodiesel are also reusable, unlike fossil fuels
Cons • Biodiesel is a lot more expensive than regular fuel • Biodiesel is more viscous than regular fuel, it’s a lot thicker than gasoline
Sources • There are many sources, on is vegetable oil, sun flower oil, it is the most common source. • In Alaska, they used fish oil, Since they are plentiful in fish, and another common source is soy bean oil. Biodiesel are very easy to get and renew.
How it works • Biodiesel was pretty much crated, because nonrenewable sources will eventually run out. • The oils, such as vegetable oil, could not be used by itself, you could make it into biodiesel to be used in cars and what not as a more eco friendly alternative.
