  2. History of cell phones • In 1908 the patent for the mobile phone was issued to Nathan Stubblefield • But, they were only used for military purposes. • The first text message was sent in 1993 in Finland.

Topic today • Almost all teenagers and some elementary school kids have a cell phone • Some touch screen cell phones have been recalled because they don’t work like they should. • They are always coming up with new ideas concerning cell phones. • They keep getting smaller and have larger memory.

  4. Practical uses • Emergencies • Texting • Going on the internet • Listening to music • Staying connected with friends

  5. Problems • Some problems with cell phones • Sexting • Going over your texting limits • Going online with out expecting it to cost money • bullying

  6. EMERGENCIES • CELL phones are extremely practical in the sense of; • Dangerous situations • Calling the police after • Witnessing a car accident • Was in a car accident • Witnessed a illegal act
