Hvorfor skal vi have dem? • Kroppen kan af alfa-linolensyre og linolsyre, danne alle essentielle fedtsyrere • Omega-3 medfører mindre risiko for blodpropper • Omega-3, fiskeolier, ,medfører øget indhold af ”det gode kolesterol”, HDL(high density lipoprotein) • Forstadier til Prostaglandiner - ”vævshomoner” hjælper med: funktion i celler, regulerer bl.a. insulinproduktion, øger immunkapacitet mm.
