Instructions • You are the teacher today • Students will be divided into 8 groups • Each group will be given a different section from the textbook • Using poster boards students will write down the important parts in their sections in the textbook • Write down at least 3 important parts • Be creative • Decorate • Students will present • As students are presenting the rest will be following along, taking notes

Sections • Group 1: Industrial Development in the US/ Industrialization in the US • Pg. 295-296 • Group 2: Later Expansion of the US Industries • Pg. 296-297 • Group 3: The Rise of Corporation • Pg. 297 • Group 4: Continental Europe Industrializes/ Begins in Belgium • Pg. 298 • Group 5: Germany Industrializes • Pg. 298 • Group 6: Expansion elsewhere in Europe • Pg. 298 • Group 7: The Impact of Industrialization/ Rise of Global inequality • Pg. 299 • Group 8: Transformation of Society • Pg. 299

  6. Roles • Everyone is required to participate • Every one reads their section and gives their input in the discussion among their group • Members of the group should be assigned roles • Note taker • Timer • Presenter

Directions • Each group will be given a different section from the textbook • Using poster boards students will write down the important parts in their sections in the textbook • Write down at least 3 important parts or facts • Be creative • Decorate • 20 minutes so use your time wisely • Each group will have 2 or more people come up to present their poster. • Students will explain the main points of their section • Time: 2 to 3 minutes • As Students are presenting the rest of the class will follow along quietly and take notes • Presenters might be asked one question so be prepared to answer.
