  2. 1 2 Select A Class • Click on the class that your instructor has assigned to you-CGMS READING 60 • Click on the hand that points to the right.

  3. Click on Lessons

  4. 2 1 Select the Assignment • Click on the first assignment that doesn’t have an apple. • Click on the right hand. • You will automatically be taken to the Pre-test for that assignment (lesson).

  5. 2 1 Pre-Test • When you finish your pre-test, you will see your score • You can also tell • which questions you missed

  6. 1 2 Process for Thomas“The Pink Sheet” • You’ve done #1 • You are ready for #2

  7. 1 2 3 4 Record Sheet“The Orange Sheet” • One record sheet for CGMS Reading 60 • Fill in your name and the name of your assessment group and the level (your grade). • Write the assignment you just finished under Lesson Title • Fill in your PRE-TEST score.

  8. Record Sheet and Progress “Page” 1 • If your Pre-Test score is 80 or more, click on Progress • Show your instructor your filled in record sheetand the progress record on the monitor.

  9. Go to Study • If your score was 70 or less, you next need to study and take notes. • # 3 on the Process Sheet is Study • FIRST Click on Study

  10. 1 2 3 4 Study Notes • Get the white Study Notes sheet (from the stacker box) • Fill out your name • Fill out the assignment name • Write the number of the card and then write down some information from EACH card.

Get OK on NotesTake Practice Test • When you finish your notes, have your instructor initialize your record sheet • #4 on the Process Sheet • Study your notes • #5 on the Process Sheet • Take the Practice Test • #6 on the Process Sheet • Keep taking the Practice Test until you get 80% or better. • Add more to your study notes if that will help you. • You do NOT need to report/record the Practice Test results.

  12. Mastery Test • Take the Mastery Test • #7 on the Process Sheet

  13. Test Results • Find your Test Percentage Result

  14. Record Mastery Test Score • Record your Test Percentage on your Record Sheet

  15. Record Sheet and Progress “Page” 1 • If your Test score is 80% or more, click on Progress • Show your instructor your filled in record sheetand the progress record on the monitor.

  16. Record Mastery Test Score If your score was 70% or less, study your study cards again and add more study notes if you need to. Take the Mastery Test a second time and record the result in Mastery Test 2 Score column.

  17. 3rd Mastery Test • If you have to take the Mastery Test a THIRD time, you must write the Q’s and A’s down on the 3rd Time Mastery Test sheet as you take the test. • See next card for a sample of that sheet.

  19. 3rd Mastery Test • After you take the Test the 3rd time BEFORE you close out of the results page, on your Q and A sheet, circle the ones you missed.

  21. Rewards • 5 lessons finished - free day- ONLY ON VPL DAYS (read a library book, clean your locker, draw, etc). • 10 lessons - bring school appropriate music cd or iPod to listen to as you work on VPL—ONLY ON VPL DAYS • Repeat (15 same as 5 lessons; 20 same as 10 lessons, etc)
