  1. WIKILEAKS. By Katy And Helen

  2. What is wikileaks? • -> Wikileaksis an international self described not for profit organization that publishes and submissions private information and classified media from anonymous news sources, news leaks and whistleblowers. The founder of wikileaks is Julian Assange which started in 2006 with thousands of volunteers alongside an advisory board of 9 people.

  3. Julian Assange • -> Julian Assange, born 3rd of July 1971 is the founder of wikileaks and is an Australian publisher, journalist, computer programmer and internet activist. 20th August 2010 Julian was investigated into allegations that he had sexually assaulted two females in Sweden.

  4. News worthy leaks • Bangladeshi ‘death squad’ trained by UK Government: -> This is news worthy because the UK Government may be involved in something the public might think is shocking and may effect the country. Because this ‘death squad’ has been involved in extra-judicial killings, the government could be deemed as responsible having a massive effect on the country. • Fears over safety of Pakistan's nuclear weapons: -> This is news worthy because if nuclear weapons aren't safe then it could be a huge risk to many people and this would be in the interest of the public as they may be concerned for there lives. • US projects for countering Islamic extremism in the UK: -> This is news worthy because there was a chance that extremist, that had once backed away from terrorism, were living in the UK that could perhaps be planning terrorist attacks or wanting to make a group of extremists.

  5. News worthy leaks continued... • Ghana anti-drug staff worn passengers away from drug searches: -> This is news worthy because if the Police were helping people smuggle drugs it will question how effective the Police actually are. • British police 'developed evidence' against McCann's, Washington told: -> This is news worthy because this shows that the Police within both countries worked together to gain new evidence about a well-known on-going case. • Prince Charles “does not command same respect as Queen” says commonwealth mandarin: -> This is news worthy because news about the Royal Family will be in the UK public interest. News about respect and hierarchy will also be relevant because it shows importance within the country.
