  3. Opening PrayerAdapted from Marianne Williamson, Illuminata Dear God, Show me the light at the center of my sisters and brothers.  Show me the light at the center of myself. Show me the light at the center of the world. Where I see guilt, show me innocence. Where I focus on mistakes, show me how to focus on efforts at good. Help me have faith in the goodness of others. Help me have faith in Your spirit within me. Thus may darkness be cast out. May I cleave to the light that is in my heart. This is my prayer. May I see light in everyone. Amen.

  10. Sophomore Retreat – Julia Scudder CrossRoadsMinistry "CrossRoads retreats are designed to challenge and inspire young people to see the world and their faith with a broader, deeper view.  Each experience is a gospel based exploration of what it means to be a disciple in the here and now." Our other retreats are about personal growth, emotional intelligence and how to strengthen relationships. This retreat, we're focusing on others around us and their needs.

  11. Follow Me "Follow Me is CrossRoads' most popular retreat offering. This overnight retreat uses Icon Prayer to invite young people to examine the labels, stereotypes, and prejudices associated with refugees and immigrants; people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and addiction; adults with developmental disabilities, and others."

  12. Jim Butler Center "CrossRoads Ministry's unique urban setting allows us to engage more deeply with people who live, work, and worship at the margins of our society." Located directly nextdoor to St. William Catholic Church.

  13. About this retreat... • It's the only retreat not held at Mount St. Francis. • There are no parent or friend letters.  • Allows our young women to immerse themselves in an experience that may be out of their comfort zone. • Preparing for sophomore ACTS! • Experiencing public transportation! Students will be transported by the AHS bus, but will also have the opportunity to take the TARC bus to and from an agency. • Agencies we partner with on this retreat: Americana, Active Day, Kling Center, St. Vincent DePaul – Open Hand Kitchen • Participating in activities with the elderly, those with mental and/or physical disabilities and assisting with afterschool tutoring.
