  5. Activity • The 5 Step Approach to Managing Anger • With a group with 1 or 2 people sitting near you, review the 5 steps on the hand out and discuss the activity. • Describe what anger is. • Develop some strategies for dealing with anger • Develop a 5 step approach for managing anger.

  6. Vocabulary • Conflict- A disagreement between people with opposing viewpoints, ideas, goals. • Bully- Someone who picks on individuals who are smaller or weaker. • Labeling- Name calling

  10. Vocabulary • Mob mentality- Acting or behaving in a certain and often negative manner because others are doing it. • Conflict Resolution- Solving a disagreement in a way that satisfies both sides. • Win-Win solution- An agreement or outcome that gives each party something it wants.

  11. Vocabulary • Mediation- A process in which a third person, a mediator, helps those in conflict find a solution. • Compromise- An arrangement in which each side gives up something to reach a satisfactory solution.
