  5. Process Summary Create TLM Create SOW Create Configured Product for new tool.  Understand how the Product Class Structures are setup (Do NOT create any new ones). Create Design Action (reminder: Environment and Type have to be set every time). Associate Product to Action and create Date Type Mod Statement Attach TLM to Design Action Attach SOW to Design Action Transfer Design Action.

  6. Create Tool Product • Expand Engineering Life Cycle • RMB “Product Classes”Activate 1) Activate ENOVIA Home

  7. Create Tool Product Determine what area of the factory the tool will be used. Open a Product Class Editor in ENOVIA. Some Product Classes have multiple levels. Do not create new Product Classes

  8. What NOT to do Use real tool names. Products cannot be renamed Use real tool names. Products cannot be renamed. DRP is not a legal tool code Tool Product should be inside Control station 290 or 292 inside Cell 200

  9. Select the Product Class corresponding to the cell where the tool will be used. RMB NewProduct Be sure Environment is set to BOECACPrdt and not BOECACPrdA. ENOVIA sometimes defaults to the “A” type which is fatal and can’t be fixed without starting all over. Enter the ToolCodePartNumber for the new tool. (I used “2MEV” as tool code for illustration here so I don’t inadvertantly step on a real tool. Be sure to use legal tool code)

  10. RMB Send ToProduct Editor Note: Limited Use Tools (LUT) are NOT managed in ENOVIA.

  11. Configure the Tool Product

  12. Activate a Change Order Editor

  13. Search for Change Order and Add Note: Discuss the specific COs for 787-9 Enter Change Order Number Search Add

  14. Click on Action Items folder (takes a few minutes to activate) New Action Item Set Type to BOE Design Action CAUTION: ENOVIA always defaults incorrectly to BOECACct_Support Type. Has to be done every time and is easy to forget. Type cannot be changed after it is created and entire process has to be redone if Type is wrong.

  15. Name the Design Action Design Action ID: TD_[ToolNumber]_[SequenceNumber]_[EventNumber]_[CONumber]

  16. Send Design Action to Action Editor

  17. Associate Tool Product to Design Action

  18. Create Modification Statement 2) Create New Modification 1) Select Tool Product 3) Select Manufacturing Domain 4 Create Date Type Mod 5) Enter Date in Start Field

  19. Attach Tooling Layout Model to Design Action 1) Select Attachments FolderNew Attachment 2) Set Type to BOECACVPMPartVersion 3) Enter TLM Part Number 4) Search 5) Select TLM 6) OK

  20. Attach Statement of Work Document to Design Action 1) Select Attachments FolderNew Attachment 2) Set Type to BOECACVPMDocRevision 3) Enter SOW Document ID 4) Search 5) Select Document 6) OK

  21. Completed Design Action

  22. Subscribe to the Design Action (Optional)

  23. Subscription Options

  24. Transfer the Design Action To Tooling Be sure to Save after clicking Transfer or the Transfer will not happen and ENOVIA won’t tell you.

  25. Change Order information (Still in work) 88-20 CO for 787-9 WBS-6.053.1_CN-AA10109A
