  3. Ms Hilda Sipp Meeting Dr. Hilda Sipp at NTNU ,Taipei, in mid August, 2013. She is an American teacher recruited through MOE Foreign Teacher Program.

  11. Job Descriptions • Teach at two schools • 22 periods of classes 1. 22 classes per week: - Fulong x 9 - Jhubei x 13 ( Grade 6 x 8, English Club x 2, Circulating Lesson x 3 ) 2. Assist with English activities in school and in Hsinchu County

  15. Life in Both Schools Given it is his 2nd year in Taiwan; Gerardo shows good ability in adjusting to new environments in class and in life.

  16. Warm Welcome from Students Warm welcome from the homeroom teacher, Ms Han, and her lovely grade 2 class. Received nice gifts from students! The class was singing “welcome” songs!

  17. Practice Reading, and Speaking Skills Gerardo’s teaching focuses on students’ oral expression skills. He encourages students to really “use” the language by applying their knowledge and speaking it.

  18. Teaching Style Mr. G’s class combines body movements (kinesthetic cctivities), gestures, body language, Q&A, reading and writing practice and FUN!

  20. Introduction on Thanksgiving Mr. G: “ Candians celebrate Thanksgiving with a parade and a traditional family feast on the 2nd Monday of October.”

  22. Teacher English Club The first Teacher’s Gathering for all subject teachers and administrators in school. Our Principal (Ms Julie Fan) had a great time speaking in English! And wow! She is GOOD!
