  2. 1. Monsoon- a seasonalwind in southern Asia; blows from the southwest (bringing rain) in summer and from the northeast in winter

  3. 2. Renewable resources – any natural resource that can be replenished naturally • trees, food crops/agricultural Water, or hydropower, wind.

  4. 3. Non-Renewableresources – natural resource that cannot be replaced if used up

  5. 4. Tsunami- is a huge waveor water wall that can cause massive amounts of damage

  6. 5. Ring of Fire - belt of volcanoes & frequent seismic activity nearly encircling the Pacific Ocean

  7. 6. Monumental architecture - refers to large man-made structures of stone or earth

  8. 7. Censorship- deleting parts of publications or correspondence or theatrical performances.

  9. 8. Limited Government – type of government where, through law, some control is placed on leadership’s power

  10. 9. Human Rights - the rights which some hold to be inalienable and belonging to all humans

  11. 10. Unlimited Government – government in which leaders rule without any restrictions
