  1. DIARY

  2. 27th Septembre 2013 We had an assembly at school at 2 PM. We left from school after 30 minutes, so that was 2.30 PM. We arrived to the airport in Cracow after 4 PM. When we were at the check-in we had to wait for 2 hours, because the plane took off at 6.50 PM. We were taking pictures and chatting. Those two hours went by really slowly. We were bored so we went shopping. The flight was great. It was very funny. We were flying for 3 h. When we landed and got our luggage we went to the OELMEK hotel. We got some bottles of water and croissants. I was in a room with Natalia, Ania, Wiktoria and Zuzia. We had a shower, but we didn’t go to our beds.

  3. 28th September 2013 We didn’t go to bed until 4 AM because we were chatting and sitting on the balcony. We slept only for 3 hours, but I wasn't tired. Before 8 AM we went to the swimming pool. After that we had breakfast, and then we had to pack and had another shower. When we went upstairs we saw our partners. We were very happy. After that we were visiting: Paphos Archeological site The tombs of the kings Paphos Medieval Castle The Catacombs Rocks of Aphrodite Ayia Napa Monastery Ancient Theatre of Kourion We also took some photos under the Mysterious Cyprus tile . Later, we went to school where our partners were waiting for us. When I arrived at Eleni's house I had a shower. After that, I talked to Eleni and then we went to sleep.

  4. 29th September 2013 We spent that day in two malls. When we got up and ate breakfast we went to the first mall with Eleni’s friend, Anna. We got back home at 3.30 p.m. At 4 p.m. we went to the second mall where I met my friends. It was very funny. We were hanging up together until 7 p.m. When we were back home I had a shower and went to sleep. I had a nice time.

  5. 30 September 2013 I got up at 6 o’clock. I ate toast with cheese. Then I got dressed and we went to school. When we were at school I felt very oddly because everyone was staring at me. We visited Cypriot school and we had Comenius activities. Cypriot students welcomed us with their traditional breakfast. Later, we had a presentation because of the Independence Day in Cyprus. In the afternoon we visited: The old city of Nicosia and the Venetian Walls The ‘Green Line’ border I bought some souvenirs and ate an ice-cream. This day was very interesting.

  6. 1st October 2013 • Today we got up at 7 o’clock because we were about to go the beach. But, before that we had visited the monastery. When we were on the beach I spent most of the time in the sea with my friends. We also went to Crazy UFO ride. It’s was really thrilling! We were on the beach up to 5 p.m. When we returned home we ate supper and then we went to bed. This was my favourite day!

  7. 2 nd October 2013 Today we had the Comenius presentation ceremony at school. Me and Natalie made a presentation about Poland. Later, we planned our activities for the next days. In the afternoon we were visiting: Nicosia Archaeological Museum The House of Cooperation Ledra Street. I bought some souvenirs and I spent great time!

  8. 3rd October 2013 Today we created a mini dictionary. We designed super hero called PolCyprus and we created a comic book with his adventures in Cyprus. In pairs we created prezi, glogster and proprofs. I was in a pair with Natalie, Cristaleni and Eleni. We presented our photos called mysterious Cyprus. In the afternoon we had a pool party where we watched films and spent a great time together.

  9. 4th October 2013 Today we visited Nicosia. We saw: ArchbichopMakarios the 3rd Cultural Foundation The house of HajigeorgakisKornesios The Omerye Mosque Turkish baths Famagusta gate. Today was Natalie's birthday so we prepared her a surprise party. We met in a restaurant. We were in this restaurant only for 10 minutes because Eleni brought me to her grandparents for supper. The food was delicious! Eleni’s family was very friendly but I was sad because I couldn't participate in Natalie’s birthday party.

  10. 5th October 2013 Today we went to Troodos Mountains. We visited: The church of lady Asinou. We played a game called ‘Mystery Hunt’. We were divided into two groups - ‘the Mystery Hunters’ and ‘the Guards of Mystery’. We looked for a mysterious treasure and ‘the Guards of Mystery’ gave us hints.

  11. 6th October 2013 Today's morning I spent at home. I chatted with my friends on facebook. In the evening, we had a goodbye evening in a traditional Cyprus tavern . We had a great time. We were dancing and talking for long hours.

  12. 7th October 2013 This is the last day of my stay. First 3 hours I spent with the Polish group. After that we had to say ‘goodbye’ to our foreign friends. We were all downhearted! Some of us were even crying. I was trying to get some comfort by remarking that we can't say 'goodbye' but 'see you in April', but it didn't help and we were still crying. Me and Ania were crying even when we were getting on the bus but we knew that we had to go back to Poland to our families. The flight was OK but when I got home I started crying and I couldn't fall asleep. I'm sure I will never forget those people who I have met and the time which I spent in Cyprus.
