  5. Materials • Agenda: Please check this daily. • Folder • Notebook or binder section • Pen or Pencil • Tissues

  6. Grades for POR • Tests/Final Written Pieces/Projects: 45% • Quizzes: 30% • Classwork: 15% • Homework, Preparation/Participation: 10% • *Grading will be based on individual needs and IEPs • Check the Parent Portal regularly. I update grades at least once a week.

  7. Grades for HMH Program -Assessments– 40% (examples may include: Workshop Wrap-ups, Reading Counts Quizzes, Final Writing Pieces) -Classwork – 30% (examples may include: Software Scores, Writing & Grammar Lessons, Small Group Lessons -Participation – 15% (examples may include: Whole Group Lessons, React & Write Pieces, Word Studies) -Assignment Completion – 15% (examples may include: Homework, Open-ended Written Responses, Vocabulary Builders)

  8. Homework • Assigned approximately 3-4 nights a week • Full Credit: Completed: 100% • Partial Credit: 70% • One Day Late : 65% • No Homework: 0 • I check to make sure the homework is written in the agenda before each student leaves class. • Please check your child’s agenda each night.
