  4. Naming Files • Avoid using the following Characters: *@. The name must be relevant to the file. E.X. Smile.Jpeg

  5. Saving Files • Save – Will save the file at its current state to the directory you previously opened the file from. • Save As – Allows you to save the state to a directory of your choice.

  6. Import/Export • Import - bringing a converted non-native format file into an open file. • Export - converts a native format to a non-native file format to be used in various software programs. In vector graphic programs, some file types may be exported.
