  2. Classification • Kingdom-Animilia • Phylum-Chordate • Class-Mammalia • Order-Carnivora • Family-Feildae • Genus-Panthera • Species-Panthera Unica

Dimensions • Shape-It is an oval shape with 4 legs and a tail • Length- It is 75 to 130 inches not including tail • Height- It is 3-4 feet if on all 4 paws and if it is standing up it is up to 62 inches • Colors and markings- It is white colored with black spots on its body size of a golf ball

  4. Where it lives • It livesin parts of India, Russia, Mongolia, China, Tibet, Afghanistan, and Kazakhstan

  5. Environment • It lives in the rugged snowy mountains in Russia

  6. Diet It is a carnivore, so it eats antelopes, sheep,mountain goats, hare, wild boars, deer, ect. They can not eat a plant they are carnivores they only eat meat.

  8. Family Life • The snow leopard has 2-3 babies at onetime • Gestation- 90-100 days • They are pregnant in the spring for 93-110days • The mother takes care of them until they are able to hunt for food and climb trees • Shelter- It goes in caves or it digs a den in the snow for shelter

  9. Social Behavior • These creatures are very serene, and rarely attack or even get close to humans. They are nocturnal meaning they are active at night. They are usually only aggressive when attacked or when their cubs are threatened.

  10. History • The snow leopard was found in 1981 • The snow leopard is an endangered animal there are only 7500 left in the wild

  11. Life span • It can live up to 15-18 years in human years

  12. Relationship to humans • Snow leopards do not eat or harm humans so snow leopards do not harm us humans on a regular basis

  13. Facts • The snow leopard has the longest tail of all cats • It cant make a deep roar like all the other big cats can • It can leap up to thirty feet high
