  3. Three Essentials for NT Spiritual Leadership • We must have a growing knowledge of God’s Word • We must learn to live in power of God’s Spirit • We must learn to live from the center of prayer

  6. Today: We must learn to live in power of God’s Spirit Promise Fulfilled • Acts 2:1-4 – Jews • Acts 5:32 • Acts 8:14-17 – Samaritans • Acts 10:30-35, 44-48 – Gentiles • Acts 11:15-16 (Recounted) • Acts 15:8-9 (Recounted again) • Acts 19:2-6 – OT believers brought into the NT

  7. What does this mean? Promise Explained “For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.” (1 Cor. 12:13, NIV84)

  9. Promise Worked Out in Our Lives Ephesians 5:18-21 “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
