House Activity Subcommittee Hearing 9/20 Served as a positive intro to Perkins and CTE Witnesses from state, local, industry and online provider Showcased strong examples of CTE; key focus on connections with business and industry “We must also discuss ways to ensure CTE programs are effective.” -- Rep. Rokita

  4. House Activity Full Committee Hearing 11/19 Testimony by Bryan Albrecht, former ACTE president Administration, IBM, and Kansas CTE Director also included Big focus on industry partnerships, certifications, and secondary-postsecondary pathways Criticism of Administration’s competitive proposals

  5. Senate Activity No formal activity on Perkins, but possibility in spring Senate staff are gathering information This is just the beginning of the process!
