COOSS Marche profile Where we are Who we are • Born in 1979 • Founded by 9 young unemployed • Private company, not for profit, NGO • Health and Social Care services • Tailored and specific services for Youth • 1993: institution of R&D + VET Dept • 2000: officially accredited as VET Agency • VET to young people • 2011: about 2000 members/employees • 2011: about 45 Million € turnover Krusevo, Republic of Macedonia 2012 / September / 21st-25th

Current COOSS activities for youth social integration • Management of Youth Centers (CAG in Italian) • VET initiatives and courses for unemployedand employed young people • Job placement for “fragile” young people • Design, implementation and management of SERVICES for young people • Almost 20 years participation to EU Programmes & projects • Travel abroad (EU) and exchange (LdV and YIA Programmes) Krusevo, Republic of Macedonia 2012 / September / 21st-25th

Scenarios in EU for young people The current crisis existing in Europe is: • Economic: growth of youth unemploymentrate, genderdifferences, hard transition from education to work, labour market fragmentation • Cultural:about22,5%of young people are neither in employment nor in education or training, growth of discrimination, missing of EU idea of different cultures living together • Social:need to promote and preserve gatheringplaces for youth, problematicintegrationof different cultures and ways of life Krusevo, Republic of Macedonia 2012 / September / 21st-25th

Pathways to achieve youth European integration • Economic: creation of real job opportunities for youth preceded by VET, National and European cooperationwith social partners, labour market stakeholders and educational and training bodies,ICT • Cultural: enhancementof different cultural identities and promote their knowledge, take care of the current requirements and difficultiesof youth • Social: fillthe “social hole” through social integration, Youth Service, active citizenship Krusevo, Republic of Macedonia 2012 / September / 21st-25th

Outlook • Labour insertion is the most relevant objective to integrate Youth in Europe (short periods of work in other EU countries) • Educational and Training initiatives in partnership with other SEE and EU countries (LdV, LLP, YIA, LdV Exchanges, funded by EU) • Design of new Social Initiatives, exploitation of Good Practices, comparisonand Exchange of Social Integration Clubs for Youth • Implementation of innovative forms of training and new businesses, including the use of ICT Krusevo, Republic of Macedonia 2012 / September / 21st-25th
