  1. Article: British-mania.com TRIBUTE BANDS: BEHIND THE SCENES The trend of tribute bands has caught up with the people these days, with many great labels falling out or passing away. The concept itself is based on paying tribute to that which is no more, or that which used to be. In the first phase when tribute bands just came into existence, they were purely meant to represent those that had fallen apart (or died). However, today, the scene has changed. You see tribute bands for so many famous performers that are still in the game – and way cheaper to hire too. You must be inclined now to wonder about the difference between a cover band and a tribute band. To say the least, a tribute band takes it up a few notches. While you see many talented performers covering famous tracks by famous singers or bands, a tribute performer gives you the complete package. This simply means that with a tribute band, you will receive a high-quality, state-of-the-art imitation of the original band itself. They’ll put on the same acts, the same clothes, they’ll have the same swag and everything. Even the music would be just the way the originals composed it. It is for this very reason they are called “tribute” bands – to remember the talent exactly as it was. Cover artists do perform famous songs, but they add their own flair to it; change it just a bit to add a personal touch. They are in no way any less than other artists. With tribute bands today existing for any said band these days, this entire thing has become a business in itself. The most sought-after tribute bands are undoubtedly The Beatles tribute bands. The Beatles tribute bands have it busy. There are so many these days, you don’t know which one to book. A word of caution here: being so many in number, it is highly probable that some tribute bands are just a bunch of wannabe fans trying to have a go at the industry with subpar quality. On the other hand, some tribute bands are genuinely good, and extremely famous. They get all the love that the public showered on the originals –that’s just how close they get to the real thing –and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Tribute bands make the entire experience so memorable, you end up remembering the show as the original itself. Genuine tribute bands make it to the top in no time. Being a separate faction in the music industry, these bands have a math of their own. As it is today, if you cannot afford the real singer, you can hire a tribute for almost half that price. The legality of tribute bands for artists that are still performing is under question, though. There is popular news over the Internet that Bon Jovi’s lawyer had had to raise voice against one of his tributes, Blonde Jovi. All this apart, tribute bands consist of real people, just like us. On your next event, try hiring The Beatles tribute band for a change, and see the rush!
