  2. Step 1: • Hellenistic culture dominated much of the world after Alexander’s death. • Read aloud “Setting the Stage” page 146

  3. Step 2: Assign groups • Group 1- Hellenistic Culture in Alexandria • Group 2- Science and Technology • Group 3- Philosophy and Art

  4. Step 3: Directions • You and your group are going to read the section assigned to you together. • While reading, you should take notes of important facts and points you come across and place them in your activity section of your binder. Entitle your notes, Hellenistic Culture Activity. • You will have 10 minutes to do this

  5. Step 4 (10 minutes) • Next, your group will create a presentation on the butcher paper provided. • You should neatly list the key points that your group wrote down • You should also include any pertinent drawings and explain them (make sure your names are on the back of the paper)

  6. Step 5 • You will present your section to the class and teach them about your section. • Sections will be presented in the order they appear in the textbook. • (if there is more than one group doing the same section, you will combine forces at step 4)
