  2. NAC Orientation Training Session:Parent and Community Engagement Parents and communities are the very cornerstone of every school. To be successful, new schools will want to strategically engage parents and communities every step of the way.

NAC Orientation Training Session:Academic Capacity • Each school proposal you review will be examined against the evaluation criteria in order to determine how well the design team can carry out it’s proposed plan. • The NAC’s task is to determine based on the evidence: If the proposed school understands and meets the needs of the community, sought parent and community feedback during the proposal development process, has the support of parents and the community, and presents a plan for establishing community partnerships.

  6. NAC Orientation Training Session:Parent and Community Engagement Now let’s take a detailed look at the individual components of the parent and community engagement section you will examine on your proposal review form.

NAC Orientation Training Session:1.1 Parent and Community Engagement Criterion: The proposal describes the unique educational and programmatic needs of the targeted community and student population and explains how the Design Team sough parent and community feedback during the proposal development process to better understand and meet those needs.
