  14. 5 Part Response • The character trait that I chose to describe Mrs. Jones is motherly. Roger tries to steal Mrs. Jones’ pocketbook while she was walking. She said, “And your face is dirty. I got a great mind to wash your face for you. Aintyou got nobody home to tell you to wash your face?” This shows that she was motherly because she wanted to clean his face. She then takes him to her home, cleans his face, and offers to cook him dinner. In the end, she even gives him money to buy shoes. In conclusion, Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones is motherly.
