  10. PharmaJet vs. BioJect Cost

  11. Market Analysis There is a shortage of health care services in Swaziland. Western medical supplies are not always widely accepted in Africa because of the suspicions that people are trying to sterilize the population. Major African political leaders have denied the link between HIV and AIDS. Citizens might be hearing conflicting information and be hesitant to believe what they hear. There is hostility towards the pharmaceutical industry in Africa. Often companies experiment with the drugs in Africa and then once the drug is approved, access to the drug is difficult. The ABC (Abstinence, be faithful, use a condom) strategy has been used to prevent the spread of AIDS in the past. It failed in Swaziland because of lack of understanding and religious views.

  12. Market Entry Strategy: Strategic Alliance • We plan to form an alliance with the UN • There is currently a UN program in place in Swaziland to reduce HIV infection in Children • We will leverage existing distribution channels of the UN • Allows for quick market entry and less risk

  13. Distribution Access to the Target Market

  14. Distribution Access to the Target Market • Import product from the South African border • Work with existing groups and relief funds in Swaziland to choose the best channels to get product to end users • Parallel our efforts with the UN and Swaziland government’s efforts to reduce HIV infections in children

  15. Promotion: Selling the Idea to End Users Educate the Swazi people about the importance of the TB vaccine and the significance of receiving it through PharmaJet’s needle-less injection system. Place information on notebooks and distribute them to school children. TB is an important vaccine, because the disease is spread via the air. PharmaJet provides a solution that makes it safe to receive the vaccine without the risk of contracting another disease like AIDS from needle reuse. You can receive the vaccine at your local health clinic.

  16. Triple –Edged Sword Promotion Plan Create a donation program at travel vaccinations centers in Germany.

  17. Triple –Edged Sword Promotion Plan Raise money for initial donations of PharmaJet equipment in Swaziland. Promote the use of PharmaJet in developed countries. Benefit the government through tourism promotion in order to be accepted in the country.

  18. Raising Awareness Community and family are strong elements of African culture, so companies need to ensure that branding and promotional efforts resonate with these values.

  19. We determined that this presented a unique opportunity for PharmaJet to make a difference in the community and to succeed without directly marketing the product.
