ITALIAN NAVY GENERAL STAFF IX VENICE REGIONAL SEAPOWER SYMPOSIUM OCTOBER 2012, 16 - 18 The Venice Regional Seapower Symposium is an international conference biennial settled (even years) promoted, sponsored and hosted by the Italian Navy where are invited all the Heads of Navies overlooking the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, other cooperanting Navies, military people, political figures, and world's cultural and information relevant authorities for maritime character issues. The meetings of Symposium represent an excellent opportunity for comparison, direct exchange of ideas, research of agreements on maritime and naval items and are an ideal tool for deepening the mutual knowledge between all countries that normally share resources with Italy and any other common interests.

IX VENICE REGIONAL SEAPOWER SYMPOSIUM OCTOBER 2012, 16 - 18 GENERAL INFORMATION • Symposium Guest Delegations • A guest Delegation officially invited has to be composed by : • Chief of Delegation and his spouse (one double room) • Speakers and Chairmen are allowed to be supported by an Assistant or a Flag Officer • Italian Navy will provide at own expenses: • Hotel accomodation for each Delegation (one double room) • Will notbe covered: • Further Delegation’s component accomodations • Extra Hotel expenses (such as telephone calls, minibar use, services, etc.)

IX VENICE REGIONAL SEAPOWER SYMPOSIUM OCTOBER 2012, 16 - 18 Transport Activities • Transport activities provided by IT Navy is planned connecting the Symposium Main Hotel from/to Air Terminal Marco Polo (Venice), Railway Station (Santa Lucia), Car Parking (Piazzale Roma); • Transport activities provided by IT NAVY is planned serving Venice RSS daily activities and spouses program; • Note: • Delegations arrival/departure schedules should be sent at time to secure smooth organization.

IX VENICE REGIONAL SEAPOWER SYMPOSIUM OCTOBER 2012, 16 - 18 Military Dress and Facilities • Winter dress uniform (jacket) is planned for Symposium works and all dinner events or scheduled activities • IT NAVY has opened a direct contact way with a professional Venice Hotel Reservation Centre in order to allow Delegation’s other components plan of accomodance and movements (assistants, supporters, advisors, etc.). The Centre offers a wide range of solutions on different prices and special offers for invited Delegations
