  6. Payment System Secure and Easy Credit and Debit Card Payment Passengers swipe their own cards and have full access to the complete itemized fare. All passenger data is secure, protected, and encrypted throughout the authorization process, and for added security, CMT does not store any confidential passenger credit card information. No passenger information is kept by the driver. No need for less secure “knuckle-buster” and credit card imprinting devices. CMT has partnered with Bank of America Merchant Services, the country’s largest credit card processor to offer the most reliable, swift, and secure processing services - at the lowest fees. On average, CMT processes a round-trip credit card authorization in 2.4 seconds. Fast Authorization time and security reduce chargeback risk and increase passenger acceptance. Risk reduction ensures that CMT can offer the lowest available processing rates from the major card associations.
  7. FleetNet Internet Portal CMT’s FleetNet application provides the real-time tools needed to allocate taxis to where they need to be, to assist drivers with fare opportunities, to ensure service to traditionally under-represented areas of the city, to assist passengers with lost items, and to identify non-working or non-compliant vehicles. CMT’s applications offer unrivaled reporting functionality for both retrospective use (e.g., driver receipts, trip sheet information) and prospective policy making (e.g., traffic management and analysis, carbon reduction initiatives). Some of CMT’s innovations include: Vehicle route locator encompassing comprehensive trip data (historic and real-time) to assist riders with lost item recovery and to assist local and federal law enforcement operations; Successful interfacing with every cashiering system utilized by CMT customer fleets using its sophisticated suite of web-based fleet management services to improve fleet efficiency; The development, in partnership with CMT’s content providers, of an Amber Alert delivery capability on every CMT taxicab; The design and implementation of daily alerts, visual notification, and login controls for fleets to ensure utilization of only authorized drivers.
