Re-established the DCEC program of courses (establish a committee to survey and determine staff needs) Listed DeLTA and DCEC courses on the district website Created an electronic registration form for DeLTA and DCEC courses Increased the number of DeLTA and DCEC courses to align with district initiatives (multiple levels of ITI, rigor and relevance, and data driven decision making are planned) Included additional technology support positions in the budget Developed a grant writing template for application to smaller grants Established a template for development of a professional career ladder Established a Delran cohort for a William Paterson University Master’s program in educational leadership (We tried, but didn’t generate enough interest to offer the M.A. in Reading program.) Integrated the use of quality tools as part of meeting processes and procedures (initial stage) Established core teams in each school and conducted core team training with SnapShot (a data warehousing / data driven decision making tool) Increased the number of K-8 PCPEP days in school calendar Professional Development / Culture SMART Team

  6. Re-designed the district website to be more informative, interesting, and interactive 90% of the HS and MS teachers have web-pages. Staff in all 4 schools have had initial exposure training with website design. Dedicated laptops and LCD projectors were introduced at DIS in 10% of the classrooms. Implementation of the NTI Connect-ed phone “blast” system district-wide Increased availability of wireless technology in the district buildings Middle school teachers were trained in the use of the CPS (Classroom Performance System) data driven decision making system Middle school students were provided a web-based resource program designed to improve academic skills Increased use of Power Point presentations in the teaching-learning process Worked with Curriculum SMART team to develop content areas for DCEC technology-based courses for staff members Technology SMART Team
