  4. Creating and Modifying WordArt Text ACTIVITY 4.1 • Open FCTHASpecials.docx then save as WordS4-01. • Complete a spelling and grammar check. • To apply a theme click Page Layout, Themes, then select Flow.

Creating and Modifying WordArt Text ACTIVITY 4.1 • Delete HAWAIIAN SPECIALS. • Position insertion point at beginning of document then click Insert tab. • To insert WordArt, click WordArt, then click fourth option from left in third row (WordArt style 16). • In Edit WordArt Textbox, type HawaiianSpecials thenclick OK.

  6. Creating and Modifying WordArt Text ACTIVITY 4.1 • To increase WordArt text height move pointer over bottom middle sizing handle until pointer becomes an arrow. Hold down left mouse button, drag down one-half inch and release. • In WordArt Tools Format tab, click Shape Width box, type 5.5, then press Enter.

  10. Creating Drop Caps and Text Boxes; Drawing Shapes ACTIVITY 4.2 • Open WordS4-01.docx, positioninsertion point in White SandsCharters, click Border arrow inHome tab, then click Bordersand Shading. • Select single line in Style section,click down-pointing arrow in Colorbox and select blue.

  22. Using SmartArt to Create an Organizational Chart ACTIVITY 4.3 • Open FCTStructure.docx and save asWordS4-02. • Move insertion point a double space below ORGANIZATIONAL CHART then create chart shown.

  28. Using SmartArt to Create a Diagram ACTIVITY 4.4 • Open WordS4-02.docx, press Ctrl + End to move insertion point below TRAVEL SERVICES on second page. • Click Insert tab then click SmartArt. • In Choose a SmartArt Graphic box, click Cycle, then double-click Radial Cycle diagram.

  34. Creating and Modifying a Table ACTIVITY 4.5 • Type text in cells as shown: • Use Tab to move insertion point to next cell or Shift + Tab to move to previous cell. • In second column do not press Enter to end a line.

Creating and Modifying a Table ACTIVITY 4.5 • To delete Special Circle Island row, click anywhere in Special Circle Island, click Table Tools Layout tab, click Delete in Rows & Columns group, then click Delete Rows . • To insert a row above Adventure, click anywhere in Adventure, then click Insert Above button in Rows & Columns group. • With new top row selected, to merge cells click Merge Cells button.

  38. Creating and Modifying a Table ACTIVITY 4.5 • Type MAUI FLIGHTS in top row. • To select all cells in table click table move handle in upper left corner of table. • Click Home, change font to Constantia, font size to 12, then click outside table to deselect it. • Save Word S4-03.docx.

Changing the Table Layout ACTIVITY 4.6 • Open Word S4-03.docx, click in top cell containing MAUI FLIGHTS, click Table Tools Layout tab, then click up-pointing arrow at right of Table Row Height box until 0.4" displays. • Click Insert Left inTable Tools Layout tab. • With cells in newcolumn selected, clickMerge Cells.

  40. Changing the Table Layout ACTIVITY 4.6 • Type Hawaiian Adventures in new cell then click Text Direction in Alignment group twice. • Click Align Center to change horizontal and vertical alignment of text in cell to center.

  41. Changing the Table Layout ACTIVITY 4.6 • Position mouse pointer on gridline between first and second columns until pointer turns into double-headed arrow. • Hold down left mouse button, drag left until table column marker displays at 0.5-inch mark on ruler, then release mouse.

Changing the Table Layout ACTIVITY 4.6 • Click anywhere in MAUI FLIGHTS then click Align Center in Table Tools Layout tab. • Select cells containing Adventure, Destination, Price, and FCT, click Align Center then press Ctrl + B to apply bold. • Select all cells containingprices then click AlignTop Center. • Click outside table todeselect cells. • Save WordS4-03.docx.

  44. Selecting Cells with the Keyboard • Tab to select next cell’s contents • Shift + tab to select preceding cell’s content • Alt + 5 (on keypad with Num Lock off) to select entire table • Hold Shift key then press an arrow key to select adjacent cells. • Position insertion point in top cell of column, hold down shift key, and press Down Arrow key until column is selected.

  45. Changing the Table Design ACTIVITY 4.7 • Open WordS4-03.docx, select MAUI FLIGHTS, click Home tab then change font size to 16 and bold. • Select Hawaiian Adventures, change font size to 14, then make bold and italic.
