  4. Significance • Embryonal development • Regression of Duct system during Sex differentiation • Degeneration and regeneration process • Removal of inappropriate clones of immune system • Cyclical shedding of endometrium • Cell shed from tip of the villi in small intestine.

  5. Abnormal apoptosis • Autoimmune diseases • Degenerative diseases and cancers.
