This presentation by Emmanuel A. Cobbinah from the Ghana Statistical Service discusses the Ghana Statistics Development Plan (GSDP) as a national strategy for improving statistical systems. Launched in 2008, the GSDP aims to align with international commitments such as the Marrakech Action Plan for Statistics. The presentation outlines key features, including coverage of ten ministries and highlights challenges like the lack of legal definition of the NSS and funding issues. It also explores opportunities for enhancing data demand and implementing a new Medium Term Development Framework.
