  10. WHAT COULD'VE HAPPENED better... My supervisors (HR Head's) response to my complaint Immediate action to stop further harassment Better awareness about laws/rules: Explained well during orientation for knowledge Better transparency: It would've been more comfortable for me to take action and approach the management #BAATCHALAO

  11. Icouldhavebeenbetterinformed... "It took me a while to figure out that what I was experiencing came under sexual harassment." Whatstoppedmefromopeningupwere these3questions, Howopenwilltheorganisationbe towardsmycomplaint? Thethought, willtheytakeanyaction? and Whatifpeoplestartquestioningmelater? That day, I lost My trust in My organisation. #BAATCHALAO

  12. Internal Complaints Committee SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE (PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL) ACT, 2013 Important Features of the Act that could've helped Pragati: The law makes it necessary for every office with more than 10 employees to have an Internal Complaints Committee that will deal with issues related to sexual harassment at work and to create a safer workplace. Employer is required to showcase the details of the Internal Complaints Committee at a visible place at every workplace so that Pragati could have known who to approach for help in need Mandatory requirement to create awareness programs for ‘Prevention of Sexual Harassment’ (POSH) for all employees so that Pragati may have known how to better tackel the situation She was in. #BAATCHALAO

  13. Internal Complaints Committee SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE (PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL) ACT, 2013 This law provides for an option of reconciliation of the dispute at the request of the aggrieved women. i.e. if Pragati could have been aware in advance of what the General Manager was trying to do before things got out of hand. She could have moved a complaint before the ICC requesting them to simply make the harassment Stop with a warning. Employer is required to update information on sexual harassment as per ICC annual report in his annual financial statements Prosecution of the Employer on failure to comply with the requirements under the Act #BAATCHALAO

  14. SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE (PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL) ACT, 2013 SECTION 19.B EVERYEMPLOYER SHALLDISPLAYAT ANYCONSPICUOUS PLACEINTHE WORKPLACE and, the THE, ORDER PENAL CONSTITUTING THE ICC under sub-section 1 of Section 4 CONSEQUENCES of sexual harassment "THE LAW DOESN'T MAKE IT NECESSARY TO UPLOAD THE DETAILS OF THE ICC ON THE COMPANYS WEBSITE" #BAATCHALAO

  15. MOST WOMEN WHO SUFFER SEXUAL HARASSMENT AT WORK DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO TO GO TO FOR HELP There are so many Pragati's who have to take refuge in their HR's or Other seniors who themselves are not trained or equipped to handle or advice on matters of Sexual Harassment at the workplace. #BAATCHALAO
