Two Types of Plans • Annual (tactical) planning – specific action steps completed in 12 months to achieve a short-term goal or an incremental target toward a strategic goal • Strategic (long-range) planning – systematic process to envision a desired future and translate this vision into goals and steps to achieve them; (usually 3 to 5 years in length 2013 Governors-elect Training Seminar
