Description • Library-based cooperative network with ties to local health community • Public libraries are primary access points for consumers seeking health information • UAB Lister Hill Library and now USA Biomedical Library (as of 6/04) serve as backup/referral and consultant resources • Website: www.healthinfonet.org

  3. Go Local in Alabama - Timeline Health InfoNet wins 2004 NCLIS Consumer Health Information Award • Accepted by NLM as GoLocal participant • 2004 Statewide expansion with addition of University of South Alabama and other partners • 2005 Summer GoLocal Alabama to go live (projected)
