Impact of Magnetic Field on Multipacting Behavior in Bd181

Preliminary results at 187.73 MHz and 223.38 MHz show consistent behavior in power sweep tests. No frequency-dependent changes observed. Magnetic field is a significant factor affecting multipacting, aligning with past experiments.

  1. Preliminary results of the multipacting measurements in Bd.181

  2. Principle

  3. Measurement at 187.73 MHz60 s power sweep from -25 dBm to -5 dBm

  4. Measurement at 223.38 MHz60 s power sweep from -40 dBm to 0 dBm

  5. Measurement at 130.48 MHz60 s power sweep from -25 dBm to -10 dBmvariable magnetic fields

  6. Summary • All recent results basically are the same like the results of former experiments • No change of behavior at different frequencies so far • Magnetic field has a huge impact on multipacting which also could be seen in former experiments
