  2. 1.a. What is the difference between a place’s Absolute Location and its Relative Location? Give 1 example of each type of location. Absolute is a specific location using latitude and Longitude. Relative is the location of a place in relationship to another place.

  3. 1.b. How are the themes of location and place different? Location is the point on the earth where it is. Place are the physical and human characteristics that define an area, its character.

  4. 1.c. How does using the 5 themes help geographers understand the Places they study? It lets them study a place and compare it to another using the same system.

  5. 2.a.Which of the 5 themes of geography is associated with airports, highways, and the migration of people from 1 place to another The theme is MOVEMENT.

  6. 2. b. How are the geography standards and the 6 essential elements related? The elements build on the 5 themes but also expand upon them.

  7. 2.c. How are the 6 essential elements similar to the 5 themes of geography Both systems geographers use to study the World.
