Number of certified programs has grown from 575 in 2008 to more than 950 Current Certified Programs • ITTPC generates a revenue between $19,000-$26,000 above all ITTPC related costs each year • 20 trained ITTPC volunteer reviewers, (14 are certified). Some have been reviewers more than10 yrs, others for 15 yrs. • Recognized and endorsed by the following: CLADEA, ATCLA, ATP, CRLA, NADE, NCDE, & NCLCA

Through reorganization and new marketing strategies, the program has experienced recent growth. • November 2011: 28 certified programs • Today: 59 certified programs • Now offering an Outstanding Mentor Award • Designated volunteer reviewers • Recognized and endorsed by the following: CLADEA, ATCLA, ATP, CRLA, NADE, NCDE, & NCLCA

ITTPC: Benefits of Certification • Develop a super tutoring program utilizing certification guidelines, CRLA Tutor Training Handbook, and the experience of other professionals attending CRLA Conferences. • Using CRLA guidelines, organize training sessions into a curriculum and/or a credit course. • Create teamwork in your department by involving colleagues in tutor training curriculum design, actual tutor training, and tutor evaluation. • Generate interest in the community by giving a press release to local and campus newspapers about your CRLA Certified Program. • Secure greater student and faculty confidence and respect for your tutorial staff and program. • Attract highly motivated tutors with CRLA Certification credentials and extensive training. • Tie wage rates to CRLA Certification levels to provide incentive for more training and experience. • Involve upper level tutors in developing and/or conducting segments of lower level tutor training. • Honor certified tutors by hosting a ceremony/party in their honor. • Emphasize the transferability of CRLA Tutor Certification to other certifying colleges and universities • Encourage tutors to add CRLA Tutor Certification to their resumes and to talk about their training and experience in job interviews. • Add to your own resume with items such as authored certification proposal, developed and conducted tutor training and maintained certification records. • IN ADDITION PROGRAM IDENTIFIED 23 OTHER BENEFITS LISTED ON WEBSITE!
