What it is: The Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet) provides Internet connectivity, access to Internet 2, technical support, videoconferencing services and training to Missouri's K-12 schools, colleges and universities, public libraries, health care, state government and other affiliated organizations.

Tree of life • Ambitious project worth browsing – but a work in progress • The Tree of Life Web Project is a collection of information about biodiversity compiled collaboratively by hundreds of expert and amateurs. Its goal is to contain a page with pictures, text, and other information for every species and for each group of organisms, living or extinct. Connections between Tree of Life web pages follow phylogenetic branching patterns between groups of organisms, so visitors can browse the hierarchy of life and learn about phylogeny and evolution as well as the characteristics of individual groups. • Tied to Encyclopedia of Life (continued)

Missouri Resources Finding Missouri: Our History and Heritage • Series of videos put together by DESE - to be blunt not overwhelming (esp. the first one) • Might check out coming to Missouri (intro good) – and see what you think. • Do have some pretty good photo galleries, and research topics • Have to click on link down at bottom of section to go to the series • Don’t even bother with the search box at the bottom

  20. Missouri Digital Heritage • Pretty cool • Great image archives • Just about every section has something pretty cool – Collections – Exhibits - Education • Look over several items in each • Be sure to go over collections esp. postcards.

Annenberg Media(requires personal login to view videos) • Has a set of interactives (no log in required) • By far, most of the stuff is training for teachers (really need to look at to understand) • But does have several videos (mostly PBS based) on subjects esp. science/math • Click on programs tab then programs link in text is a little more helpful • Most decent videos they have for students are all for high school students
