  • Chloris is the Greek goddess of spring. She is the equal of Flora, the Roman goddess of spring.
  • She is the only child of Niobe whose life was spared by Apollo.
  • After seeing her whole family murdered she turned pale permanently, which was the origination of her name.
  • She was married to Zephyrus better known as the West Wind. He granted her dominion over all flowers.

  • She was pure and beautiful and her pictures resembled Spring. She was the Roman goddess of spring.
  • Flora and Chloris are similar. They both use flowers to express their feelings and their moods.
  • In societies, cultures, and in gardens around the world the word “Flora” is still used.

How are Flora and Chloris still in society today?

  • Flora is still used in the society and even in the world. People all over the world still give their husbands and wives the gift of flowers to show their gratitude and love.
  • Chloris is still used in the world and in society too. If you use Clorox bleach to wash your clothes, then you use Chloris. And If you go to to the school and you use words like chloroplast or chlorophyll, then you are still using Chloris.
