  2. Knowledge is the beacon light of our lives. In its absence our life is an area of total darkness. knowledge is an asset of every individual endowed with intellect. But ironically, today, even an individual with intellect cannot afford to have proper education. The reason for this is monetary, handicap, money has become a wall between a student and education. Starting right from primary school right up to highest levels, there is need for money at every stage. The dreams of a poor student who aspires to become a doctor or an Engineer are withering away. That too, the present situation of poor Brahmin students is highly miserable.

  3. Facts of Education The cost of primary and higher education has gone up by 300% in last 10 years. The poor Brahmin student is caught in the vicious cycle of : Simple life  Needs food  Needs money  Needs proper employment  Needs Education? This again needs money According to applications received in 2009, 53% of the applicants come from families with monthly income of Rs.3,000 and below.

Introduction • Jaya Satya Pramoda Nidhi is great visionary initiative started by His Holiness Shri 1008 Shri Satya Pramoda Tirtha Swamiji in 1984. • Through this benevolent fund he gave grants to deserving poor Brahmin students in order to enable them to pursue their educational goals. • Since 1984, until now, every year, many students have received financial assistance through this Fund by the blessings of Shri 1008 Shri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji. Mission • Aide poor, needy and deserving Madhva to achieve their educational goals Vision • Provide scholarship amount of Rs.1 Crore by year 2011

Why Donate Through JSPN • Complete Transparency • Dedicated volunteers conduct thorough verification and due diligence in identifying needy Madhwa candidates • Encourage students to practice Madhwa philosophy in addition to their chosen career. • Continuous monitoring of students and support through various activities such as personality development, interview skills, resume & placement services. • This scheme caters to Madhwa’s across the country and across various Madhwa Mutts.

JSPN Activities • Apart from Scholarship program, under the noble guidance of Sri Sri 1008 Sri Satyatma Teertha Swamiji, JSPN has conducted career guidance Workshops for Students, graduates and Jobseekers. • With the blessings of Sri Sri 1008 Sri Satyatma Teertha Swamiji, JSPN team has conducted career workshops at Bangalore, Bijapur, Mysore, Shimoga and Bhadravathi during 2008 and 2009 • Topics that are covered during workshop are • Communication Techniques with role plays • Interview facing techniques • Careers in today’s world • How to prepare winning resume • JSPN is in discussion with banks to arrange additional funds through bank loans • JSPN is planning to tie up with other Brahmin Donor organisations to increase scholarship coverage for more Madhwas.

Brief Report on Bhadravathi Workshop • Career Workshop by Jaya Satya Pramoda Nidhi with a joint venture of Samskruthi Sourabha @ Bhadravathi on 28th June 2009. • Crowd assembled wasfrom different background. There were Graduates of 1st year, 2nd year and final from Bsc, Msc, Bcom, B.E and also Members Samskruti Sourabha (Senior andexperienced people from diversified field experience such as Doctors, College professors, Government employees and Entrepreneurs). • Program was inaugutared @ 9.15 AM in by Sri Krishna Bhat , President of Samskruthi Sourbha and Sri K.S Vadiraj, Secretary of Samskruthi Sourabha. • The program was well anchored by Sri Subramanya using authentic Kannada. • Overall performance of JSPN teamwas well appreciated by the audience.
