  3. General Findings of PPI • 554 Clients surveyed • Branches fairly represented • 83.7% of the Group = Poor • Live on <$2 a day • 56.8% of Group = Very Poor • Live on <$1 a day • Average Score 20-29 (out of possible 100)

Are they "Very Poor"? • South Africa’s <$2 a day: • 28% of pop. • Limpopo’s Population living on <$2 a day: • 43%(2001, Leibbrant) • SEF’s <$2 a day group: • 83% • Very Poor is harder to derive with as much accuracy as Poor: • 71.4 for PPI Scores 0-9 • Average Score = 20-29 (out of 100 possible)
